My local BestBuy gave me a $25 gift card for getting A's in school. Now, I must instantly splurge this money. I'm considering buying a PC game, now the question is which one... I want a game that I won't get sick of and will continually enjoy; which probably means the game must have online play like Counterstrike: Source or Unreal Tournament.
Feel free to pitch in your two cents, just make sure the game you suggest is carried by BestBuy. Right now I'm deciding between these two:
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare - $50.00 The Orange Box - $40.00

Orange Box, hands down. Half-Life 2 w/episodes 1 and 2, Portal and TF2? Best deal in gaming ever.

Orange box is a better deal than COD4, but I find COD4 to be better than any game included in orange box. Its really just a matter of preference.

COD4 is a great game, but you get more "bang for your buck" with the orange box. You talking about HL2 episode 1 and 2. Those alone are games that can keep you busy for quite some time when you don't feel like playing online. And portal seems pretty sweet even though I have not even tried it yet. And well TF2 well it is so fucking addicting it's not even funny.

also consider the platform you are gonna be running the game on as well... make it worth it.

If all you have if CSS, I recommend Orange Box, lots of variety in it.
COD4 is addictive though.-- ask for this as a gift from parents around a birthday or something, definitely worth having.

To John: I'm not sure why you posted on something from last year, but just to let you know your posts don't increase by posting in the SPAM section.
