Map downloads from the servers

All,

   Widow and myself are moving all the maps to a new host located in Chicago and all this will do is host the map downloads.  We are changing all the servers so that if you need a map it will download the BZ2 file which is half size of the map file cause of compression.  This server in Chicago is sitting on a GigE pipe to the internet so bandwidth is no problem.  This was tested out on the TF2 servers last night and is going live with all the servers today.  If you encounter any problems downloading the maps or they do not download please let me or Widow know right away.

This should eliminate the problem of people leaving if the map changes and nobody has the map and they have to download it.

Your download bar should go halfway across the screen at which point the file is done downloading and will then start the uncompression process.

I got to be one of the test pilots for this. It works great and super fast! I was getting the file in like ½-2 seconds. Took only about 30 seconds to unzip. This is a wonderful idea that panned out quite nicely. Cutos gentlemen!

It's not working on the cs pub, and the mani sounds are not downloading - like the ones noob is having problems with.

Not sure if those sounds need to be on the map server to be downloaded. Will have to check and see if the sv_download is used for sounds also. Wll let you guys know or I will upload them and find out

Video fixed the gg sound issues. I spent some time in the pub last night and noticed that the custom maps were slow to download.
