Ok i was in TF2 and i was wondering where i would go to change my playes name...cant seem to figure it out...this kind of stuff normally comes easy to me but for some reason it has been a horrible day with technology today....i looked in options under all the tabas and and even the online stuff still couldn't find it...is there a way to change ur name?..lol thanks

You have to do it in your Steam profile. When you open steam, go to the community tab --> Edit Steam ID. You can change all your profile information that is viewable by the public, as well as your in-game name (your Steam ID). This differs from CS:S in that you have to change it here. Hope that helps.

I Wanted to thank Hitman Smurf and the others that took time out to help me learn a little of the ropes of TF2 i still suck at it, but whatever...lol...practice is all i need and i will only get less sucky

Also, if you want to change your name in the console (although I have been told your name changes back after a map change/leave the server), you can type "setinfo name namehere" into the console. (Without the quotes, of course.  ) |

Thanks again Smurf for helping me out with my sigs.  Shove it in my face cuz I'm not good with the stuff  I did figure it out though thanks to Steve and his walkthrough. He should really post that for people like me. |
