Reason for Post:

I decided to put up this post for educational reasons. For people who dont know what to look for and for people to add to it knowledge. I also decided to put this up so that community members can realize what all we have to look out for and also so that community members if they see hackers while an admin is not in the server they can record a demo of that person for review by us members.

Videos of Hackers:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1476287778428292767&q=css+hack&total=1532&start=20&num=10&so=4&type=search&plindex=1

Mygot( a hacking clan) :

We do alot as admins to try and keep this stuff out of the servers. These are examples of hackers and mygot the hacking clan. If you noticed in the first video that circle it can be changed so that its alot smaller that is the radius in which the aim bot will pick up and aim for you. ESP is the one with the dots at either head level or foot level. Wall hacks make the walls invisiable and speed hacks make it so u can move in sanely fast. The beams are lasers placed directly out of the other peoples guns to show you exactly where they are aiming. The Box around the people acts as an early warning system to the hackers different colors representing different times of shooting. Red means they shouldnt shoot unless they dont mind getting caught. Yellow means shoot with caution and green means even a noob can get that person. All team members are done up in blue squares so to make it even harder to shoot teammates.

Catching hackers:

Aim:

There are a few things you want to keep in mind if you think someone is hacking where are they aiming all the time. If they are aiming through a wall on someones head all the time its obvious. The less obvious is when they use the side of their screen to look around but, when most people that hack do this they will start to move their cross hair with the person basically leading them before they could hear or see the other person. Another tell tail sign is if they are aiming at the ground all the time but then can pull off incredible head shots. Most good players if you watch them will always aim at head level. The only time they change that is if the elevation is different or they suspect someone is crouched or hiding on an angle that is not head level. Also if the person only hits one area of the body round after round with no variations he is probably bullshit.

Movement:

If a person studder steps meaning they run towards a corner and taps back at the last second and the guy prefires that without the ability to hear him, there is a 90% chance of bullshit. The other 10% comes into the realm of timing a good player will know the timings of different maps and thus be able to pick mid on dust2 through the door because they know the timing of the person running across. Also pre nades go along with timing if you have the timming down u can nade someone before you even know them by the time that has gone by on the clock. If he knows flashes or he nades are coming without hearing them bounce or the pin being pulled he is probably bullshit. If he ducks for cover every time right before someone with an awp is aiming at him he is probably bullshit. This also is a 90% certanty case, there is a 10% chance of a person having played for a long time and knows how to work off of timings in order to seek cover.

How to help us:

If you think someone is hacking this is what you should do.

Open console.

Type in: status

This will give you a list of names with a steam id number it will look like this STEAM_0:0:3412560. If the steam id is less then 8 chances are he is just good but if you want to make sure continue to the next step. Make sure to write down this number in order to put it up with the demo.

Open console.

Type in: record HackersName

This will record a demo you must then go and spectate him every time you die or go to spectators and watch him. If the name has spaces do not put them in when you type the hackers name. i.e John Doe Millionaire would be JohnDoeMillionaire. Once you are done with the demo.

Type in: stop

This will stop the demo.

The demo file will be located in

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steamname\counter-strike source\cstrike

Then you can attach it to your post it cant be any bigger then 10mb so you may need to zip it using winzip. Make sure you post it in the appropriate area.

We then take the demos and watch them with wireframe on. This is a command that anyone can run if you have a server that has sv_cheats set to 1. This allows you to see through walls and see a wireframe of each object. You can also turn on sv_showhitboxes, sv_showimpacts  and many other commands so long as sv_cheats is set to 1.
