ok im looking for a desent set of headphones they dont have to be the best in the world just somthign thats comfortable and gets great sound that isnt overly expencive so if anyone could give adivce on what would be good to use that would be great

also if anyone can tell me what the hell spl does and is it better to have a higher or lower spl in headphones

I use only Plantronics Gamecom Pro1  Last time I bought a pair I think they were $59 or $69

Plantronics provide the best no nonsense bang for the buck, I've had the same pair for close to six years now. Replaced them numerous times for the "latest and greatest" but always end up pulling them back out of retirement.

spl= sound pressure level. Over the ear hp would tend to put out more spl than on the ear type due to design. I perfer over the ear myself.
