As far as the psp goes, there is a lot one can do with it versus the other hand helds. Before I got an ipod video, I got a 4 gig memory stick and kept all my mp3 files on it and used it as a music player. Get a fm modulator and use it in the car too. You can also surf the web with it's built in wifi....Games look good, but the screen is a bit on the small side. However, quite a bit of aftermarket stuff is out there. I ended up handing it off to my son who is six. He uses it on trips or when mom takes away the 360. keeps it hid under his bed!
And he thinks I dont know about it..
