KISS Kissology volume 2 Good stuff if youre a KISS fan! I actually found myself in tears at the end. Those of us who know a bit about the band remember that Eric Carr replaced original drummer Peter Criss when Criss was fired. Carr was an excellent drummer and loved the fans. Around 1991 Carr was treated for cancer of the heart which involved open heart surgery. Just days afterwards he insisted on apearing in the KISS video for "God gave rock and roll to you II" still in recovery from the surgery, stitches and all. This was his last video and performance with the band, he died shortly afterwards. At the end of the three disc set is a memorial for Carr with the MTV clip announcing his death and the KISS "God gave rock and roll to you II" video following. At the end of the video the credits roll and one is led to believe thats the end. Screen goes blank and then you see a self-made home video Carr shot from his hospital bed after the surgery explaining what had happened and that he would return soon. In true rock and roll style, he ends the video by pulling down his hospital bottoms and mooning the camera.  |
