Alright....i've got rats in my backyard....theirs a retaining wall made up of railroad ties(the wood used on railroad tracks) and they've made holes in it and little tunnels and whatnot...i've seen 3 big ones and about 6 little ones....so......my little brother and i took roman candles and shoved them in ever hole we could find....thinking we could smoke em out or somethin.....but we lit the wood on fire fro the inside...plenty of smoke but i guess they've got escape routes....i'd prefer not to poision i've got a 13 year old lab and a 10month old german shepard/great dane mix, and their too curious to poision...whos got some ideas
ps....traps dont work....we caught 1 in a trap a week ago and since then they wont go near it...

I'd say don't give up on the traps. Just gotta have the right kind of bait. We had a rat problem at our work once. In one day we were able to catch 3 rats (2 were in one shot) with a single rat trap and a single rinalo! Yes i said rinalo. They'll dive at those trap with the right kind of bait. Since we were able to catch two at once, I'd dare say rinalos are the best kind of bait. Plus they're very easy to place in the trap.
