Ok heres my stance:

I believe that the universe was created through science (big bang, etc)... and everything has evolved along the lines of what science states. But maybe God created the universe, and let it take care of it self? No one really knows. A lot of the stuff in the Bible does seem kind of unbelievable, but it doesn't mean it never happened. No one has proof either ways. There could be a God sure, and if people believe in him, power to them.
I think religion was set up to give people hope, something to live for when life leaves them with nothing. So to say that someone is retarded in believing in a god, with no proof saying that there isn't.... is pretty ignorant.
