Usually the most 'picked on' car manufacturer is also the most successful.  People can rag on Ford all they want, or Mustangs for that matter.  Funny thing is, Mustangs are still a huge selling point, whereas GM lost the Camaro and the Trans Am/Firebird years ago.

It's also funny how I see more and more imports broken down on the size of the road than domestics, or Fords for that matter. 

You're right about the 'stay away' part tho...I don't need some stupid import blowing it's head gasket in front of me on the highway, so please do keep your distance
