How do you figure? It looks like a Neon, they call it a "Neon"...After all of that, I'd assume it was a Neon. All they did was spice of the interior (not much either...it's still a shitty interior that rattles), throw on some performance muffler with a dual exit, and slap a turbo on it. It's still that 4-cylinder grocery getter, just with a power adder. Sorry but one this that pisses me off more about those cars is the ignorant fucks that drive em. I'm not calling you one, so don't even go there. I'm talking about the thousands of kids who think their Neon is the hottest thing to hit the streets and that it can beat anything cause it's got a "turbo". I frown at the people who classify these cars with the likes of Mustangs, Camaros, and Trans-Ams as an American performance car. Last I checked American cars weren't front wheel drive...  |

lol. As long as you don't put my GTi in that category. It is, after all, a hatchback with a turbo thrown on it. Sure it's only 180 h.p. and 176 ft-lb torque, but it handles like you wouldn't believe. You never have to slow down through the curves as long as you trust your tires and are comfortable with hard cornering. I'm not a kid, but I do drive like an asshole from time to time. It comes from growning up in Jersey and then moving to Woostah. 395/290 is the MA autobahn.
But then again I would never classify my car in the same category as a muscle car. For daily driving performance I choose the GTi. But...I saw the GT350 in NY, and I want one...

stang I hate them too... I worked at a dealership and I got to beat the fuck out of em... but if I were to get one I'd get the srt-4 since like I said they fly... they beat mustangs easy and I've seen em do it

Throw a power adder of the same size into a Mustang and you'll see it do the same thing... You're comparing apples and oranges...A 2000-something pound Neon with a turbo to a 3500 pound tank thats all motor. Plus, last I checked the neons could only muster up a mid to low 14 second time stock. Manual GT's are known to run mid to low 14s stock as well. |
