Well, it disallows a bot or any other entity from DOS attacking the forums with excess traffic. I think of it as a denial of spam. it is a good thing.

15 seconds per post. times 4 15 second intervals in a minute times 60 minutes in an hour = 3,600 posts an hour.
That's the max. So a bot could outpost death in an hour.

I just figured that if I was gonna post on top of post today that I'd keep it mostly contained in one thread. I've been wanting to do this now for some time. spamming is like a drug to me. It keeps my brain activated at a low level.
