I have decided that one of the most satisfying things in all of gaming has got to be decapitating a zombie with a guitar, with the added in bonus of the strings making a twanging sound on impact.
What do you guys think of the game?

My favorite:
Shooting a zombie in the gut, having it's intestines spill out, and having him still run after you while walking on his own guts.

Ohhh, I didn't notice that one. The damage modeling is much much nicer though. I can't tell if the graphics are genuinely nicer, or if it's just the fact that the daytime lighting is so well done. I love that it's during the day and it's just as freaky as the night stuff in L4D.

The character models are quite nice, especially the new smoker. I'm a little iffy about the female boomer.

The new pipebombs are so satisfying i think instead of the red mist seeing all the body parts fly everywhere. The machete is pretty cool too i ran around for a whole hour the other day just killing zombies with that.

I find the Katana to be the best melee weapon. That and am I the only one who finds the grenade launcher to be useless?

It's good against tanks. If you can grab one right before a tank battle you can down him in three shots. But besides that it's useless.

my fav melee weapons are the chain saw just so when the hoard comes you stand in one spot and they run right into it, its great.....and the cricket bat (paddle bat) feels like Shaun of the Dead lmao....then the machete/katana.....

Finally played it for the first time last night. Loved it! Played through the first campaign with some friends and then we did I believe the mall survival mode what felt like a million times and then we went to dark carnival for some rocking zombie survival killing.
My only problem now is trying to figure out which game to play TF2 or this! Definitely a lot of fun.

Eh, they're very different experiences, I can't take L4D2 all the time cause it gets my pulse going, it's kind of a stressful game (in a good way). TF2 may be frantic but it's kinda my chill out game.

I pretty much play what I'm in the mood for. L4D for serious competition, TF2 for fun and relaxation.
