Engy update - anticipation

First and foremost in case anyone hasn't seen this, I will post it. I am one of those people that pores over the little details and tries to figure everything out. So what do you all think this new shotgun will actually do? My money's on some sort of remote control, due to the antennae on the back of the scope.

That's no antennae. Its a fold in his shirt! This is probley some sort of fan art. I mean I joke about being a shotgun sniper all the time, but this is silly. If for some reason it were to be real, I'd have to say it's a slug shot shotgun with a scope. So you can zoom in, but you'd have to pump load it after every shot. Great for dealing with pesky snipers and adding support to your gun but bad for dealing with spies and and other close up encounters. How's that?

It would be cool if it was like an elecric disrupter shotgun, mild stun(less than the sandman bonk) to everyone + disableing a spys cloak and disguse for a few seconds.

I am kinda hoping the improvements go into the buildings though, like maybe a two way tele? or a more powerful short range sentry/less powerful long range sentry. Of course my favorite idea so far has to be iron man theory...the idea of being able to build guns on players or the engy himself...imagine an engy with a sentry on his shoulders and a dispenser on his back...portable medic heavy anyone? sadly this idea is not likely.

A more armored dispenser couldn't hurt, and I think it would be interesting if they had someway of placing like a foundation where your last building was so that if you rebuild in the same spot it is less expensive the second/consecutive times.

I've looked at it, but I still think that's coming out of his gun. There's a mount for it on whatever's coming out hte back of the scope.

Also speculation about the release date (Warning, weak, even for TF2 conspiracy theorists). The last blog post mentioned riddle 17. Also, how many letters in riddle? That's right, SIX. Put it together and you get 6/17, today's date! Also if you believe this, it's ever so slightly backed up by the tentative release date. Valve generally announces things a week before, so the release date would be 24, the number on the engy's toolbox. Weak, I know.

Let's think logically:

Why the FUCK would you have a scope on your shotgun? Obviously not for those long distance shotgun kills.

If that IS an antenna, methinks it is some kind of spotting scope for your sentry. Scope in and look at something, and the sentry will aim right where you are looking until you scope out. That way people can't distract your sentry with ubers, bonks, or whatnots.

Serious question time. Will the elders put a cap on engys after the update? I think this is probably a good idea, as otherwise, we will have no one pushing the point, etc.
