Any interest in adding Fastlane to the rotation?

If fastlane will help populate the server, I'm for it, but if we're gonna have a max of 8 people in the server the entire night...

Fastlane is BAD for populating the server! Any of the "in-line" CP maps are. Maps that get people to join are PL maps! Switching to Goldrush almost always gets enough people to join the server.

It filled up last night, but only for 1 map (dustbowl). After that, the king of the hill map REALLY emptied the server.

From what people told me, about half an hour to an hour after you left, for a couple of hours.

Can someone remind me why we got rid of rtv or map votes? From my experience playing on and running fame servers, people largely favor being able to vote for a map to play, rather than being forced to play in a specific sequence.

Even just adding a map vote at the end of each map, and not having rtv or nominations, would moat likely improve the server population.

We got rid of it a few months ago cause what kept happening is we kept having to play the same maps over and over again as new people rotated onto the server and voted. So maybe we just played Hoodoo two maps ago, well the people who just got into the server don't know that so they pick Hoodoo and we're back to it. It gets annoying.

Well then whoever set it up didn't know what they were doing completely. Sourcemod supports blocking a certain number of previous maps from being in the vote, or from being nominated.

I think 1) Enabling map end votes 2) Blocking the previous 5 maps played, 3) Enabling RTV and 4) Enabling nominations would be a good thing to do. If the only complaint was maps repeating, we can increase the amount of blocked maps.

I second this idea. I don't mind changing the map for people but RTV is always an easier way to find out what exactly everyone wants to play. People seem more open to RTVing then saying what they want to an admin.
