Here is the problem as I see it! This server is a community server and everyone's oppinions should be considered. A dictatorship of what "will or will not" be put into the rotation is not fair! Video, I honestly feel no matter what suggestions any of us make, you will find some reason to shoot it down. Granery was played 2 nights in a row with no losses in population and several comments on how it was a nice change of pace! I respect those of you who said you don't like the map and am willing to listen to other options. But seriously, don't shoot down every idea any of us have!
First off as for calling this a dictatorship, this is far from it and I take great offense if someone is calling me a dictator when it comes to this server. This server has the most community involvement of any server that The Elders has run and that is cause we always do polls about different things. If all the old posts were still available you would have seen that I had many polls and things asking for input from people to see what everyone wanted. Why am I not entitled to my opinion of things when it comes to maps just like everyone else. You honestly need to settle down and not take everything so seriously like I am telling you NO. You need to take a step back and look at it from my point of view of playing this game for about 2 years (Yes, I was part of the beta testing) and seeing how things have gone over that time. That is how I base my opinions of maps and other things for this server. I also go out and look at what the most popular servers are doing and how they are keeping their servers filled with people. What maps they are running, what plugins they are running, and what other changes they have made to the config files like building more buildings, things costing less and the time it takes to build items. There is alot of things that go into my opinions about this game then most people really understand.
I am only stating what has happened before with different maps. Remember whatever the majority votes is what we will do. I will almost always play devils advocate when it comes to this stuff cause this side of things needs to be talked about as well. If the majority of people want a certain map then it will happen, if the majority wants custom maps then it will happen, but we need polls and they need to run for about a week to allow everyone time to vote.
