My favorite state right now is the state of introspection.

I was recently waxing philosophical with a human resource professional.  They told me that your career is your business.  You have to be your own spokesperson/mananger.  If you wait to get recognition from your supervisor, you'll be waiting a long time.  A boss's role is to provide milestones and measureables and then rate your performance based upon thesess goals.  It is not their position to get you a raise.  You have to take control of your life and career for yourself.  You only get what you ask for.  If you can get people to listen, they will give it to you, especially if they like you.  That's part of the game.  The game that pays you enough so that you have time for CSS...lol

I just thought I'd share this because I've been thinking about it a lot the last couple of days.  I think that I have always expected my bosses to sell me to their superiors.  That's a retarded expectation.  You have to have good expectations of life in order to be happy.  Now that I've figured this out about myself, if I get this new position I have the oppurtunity to make sure that I don't set myself up to get overlooked in my next role at my company.

Well i would hope so, but in NJ there are nice cars everywhere. For example **cough** my 98 eclipse **cough** my neighbor has some nice bikes, but at night it sucks because there so loud, One friend just bought a hot yellow mazda rx-8, and another bought the new mustang. But when i went to canada, they were all pieces of shit, and dirty.

It gets pretty damn cold in NJ to. Maybe not as cold as canada, but if you stick yuor hand outside for 5 seconds, you think its about to fall off. Or when you drive your car, and when you get home, theres still a solid sheet of ice on your hood, right above the engine.
