We are going to be raffling off a gaming computer at the lan.
Parts of the system was donated by several members of the elders.
This system will have:
Intel Core 2 Duo e4500 2.2ghz 2mb cache 800fsb (bought by lan party)
Asus P5BW-LA mobo -Intel 965 chipset, 1066 fsb - onboard Realtek AC97 sound + wireless lan (|337)
2 Gb ram (1gb from |337 and 1 gb from Barrell)
Nvidia 8600 Vid card (thanks Rage)
320 Gig sata hard drive with Windows Vista Home Premium (|337)
Antec Hard drive cooler with digital read out- fits in 5 1/4 bay (|337)
450 Watt Cooler Master power supply (|337)
Case (|337)
Lite-on super all dvd+-rw lightscribe sata (bought by lan party)
HP wireless kb/mouse (|337)
the case is a leftover hp case. whoever wins it can get another one if they want.
we will be selling chances for 10.00 a ticket. proceeds goto the elders. who wouldnt pay fifty dollars in tickets for a computer like this. good luck everyone. and see you at the lan party.

Not at all, GFH.
We wanted to make this lan special, and things like this make it so. With the procedes going back to the clan - it's a win/win situation. If we sell 50 chances, thats 500 dollars. Hell, I may buy a few and try and win this thing myself!
A few of us have been talking and events like these may happen more often if the turnout and feedback are positive.

Hell, you were just at my place an hour ago. It's pretty nice to say the least! Hope you win it...
I bought this new at circuit city less than a year ago. Date of purchase (still have the rec) 7-8-07 for $1,165.99. seven months ago
That same week I put an 8800 Ultra in it and a beefier psu. I used this set up till about a month ago and bought a new mobo/case. I took the C2Q 6600, memory and vid card for my new build and the rest hit the shelf in my basement. Kind of a waste on my part to have this stuff sit there and collect dust, so.....

Added 80mm exhaust fan to rear of case. Moved HD cooler to second 5 1/4 slot and removed extra expansion bay cover. Now the temps on the cooler read out are visible. It looks factory too. Should have the cpu and dvd burner today. I'll throw up some more pix after it's completed. If I get time after the os install, I'll make sure CS is loaded and working.
