Ventrilo Problem!!!! urgent!!

Whenever i connect my ping sky rockets up to the 15k area , but yet my games dont lag! i've done research and have narrowed it down to the problem being caused by the host of the ventrilo, i could be wrong but what i've read , when minor uploading is being done on the server ( doesnt make since to me ) it can cause some pc's to lag, i'm not a fucking comp genious but i do know that the problem with the ventrilo lagging is not my computer, i've got 2 other ventrilo's i get on and i tried getting on them while in cs and no lag on their server , but for the.elders i do, btw this only started happening about 5 days ago. sorry for the massive run on sentance and spelling errors. thanks Ryuk. -
