Everywhere should have one of these threads.
I like Metal and most sub genres like Core, Death Core, Thrash Core, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Black Metal, and all others...there's a lot, trust me.
Some of my favorites are Between the Buried and Me, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Job for a Cowboy (except the Genesis CD, which had no high scream or pig-squeal, which made them famous.) Dethklok is another, but they're from the cartoon Metalocalypse.
What do you guys like?

I used to listen to that stuff when I was in my teens. Now I'm more into classic rock and stuff from the 80's metal scene. I've rediscovered some old faves like Steelheart, Vinnie Vincent Invasion and a few others. I guess my favorite modern band would have to be the Foo Fighters.

i just got back from nyc two days ago. i went to the hammerstein ballroom to see Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Soilwork, and Devildriver.

went crowd surfing, was all up in the LoG, Soilwork, and Devildriver moshpits. was a damn good time and my ears are still ringing 2 days later LOL
