I am in the process of creating our team fortress 2 server. It will be on the same box as the Gun Game server so I hope we don't have problems. When it is up and running the ip address will be:
69.31.15.141
Server is up and running as of 11am Wednesday morning.
i do not think mani admin will work with it at this point. So anyone needing rcon will need to PM me.

You have to pre-order Orange Box @ $44.00. However it comes with HL2 and Episode 1, which I'm sure most of us have. Valve says that once the OB goes retail, those of us who already have HL2 and E1 can "gift" the extra ones to someone else.
So far, I like TF2 as its a break from the other stuff we play.
Just a thought: Maybe we could start a thread and see who amongst us would want our extra HL2 and EP1 games? I am willing to gift mine to someone within our group.

TF2 is BETA right NOW.
If you want to play NOW, you have to pre-order the Orange Box. (So they make more money)
or
WAIT until game is sold officially in a few weeks and pay less for what you need.

I figure ...Hell I don't have episode one or two..and I want TF2...it seems the price for TF2 is going to be 30 bucks so fer 14 bucks more....why not...  |

I spent some time there last night. Quite a few of the players I knew were from our CS servers. I also remember some remarking about how the server was "lag free" unlike the other ones they had tried. Hell, it was full or near full till early in the morning. We really do need some sort of admin ability, because some of the players were saying "nigger" and other nice things. Another thing I noticed was alltalk and FF was on, which a few complained about.
A TF2 vent chanel would be nice too.

Leet, I'm not sure if there is an admin option available right now but I will look into it. But in the meantime you can use the rcon commands to kick and ban.

played in there for a good while last night and it ran perfectly. Like l33t said, all talk needs to be turned off and FF definitely needs to be turned off. spy's are hard enough to find without worrying about shooting ur own teammates. I luv this game as I used to play this all the time! Can't wait till mani gets a working admin plugin and stats. I'm glad i spent the extra 15 and get to play it. I have episode 1 and hl2. So those will be gifts when retail is available. Anyone Interested? I would have bought episode 2 and tf2 so right there i spent 60 bucks. It comes with some other game called portal. The game actually looks pretty decent so imo I think the orange box pre-purchase is worth it. |
