new cpu / graphics

i broke my old geforce 7800gtoc, but i had a replacement plan on it from compusa, so i took it in there. they didnt have any instock, so i figured i'd upgrade to the ati 1900xtx. which was like a 380$ (rip off upgrade). whatever. i have to play games. so i goto the register to get this new card, and the old card's credit taken off the price, when this newb cash register jockey credits me for the whole thing, and i don't pay a god damn dime. haha

compusa wouldnt stop calling me yesterday, but they didnt even try today. whoops.

and for those of you who have a conscious, i did say to him... hey are you sure you did that right? and he was like, YEA MAN YOURE GOOD TO GO

whatever

only problem was that my athlon xp 3200 couldnt handle it, so i went out and picked up a athlon 64 x2 4200+, seems cool now

Sorry to hear that about compusa.  What location was this?  Cashiers never get trained correclty. 

Anywho that is great that its working now.  I have the same chip with 6800gs card.  I love the chip and card. Things should run very smooth.
