Actualy if you must know my other had a ford windstar brand new and within 8k miles the power windows didnt work.  No more then 3k miles later the transmisson died. My cousin has owned an f150 same shit with it power windows fuck up then the transmisson died.  Ford makes a good interior but their mechanics are all fucked up.  Any company that puts a catalytic convert directly besides a transmission is dumb in my opinion.... Oh and XtC love you too but who are you?

It's a well known fact that Ford lacks in the transmission department...we've known it for decades. 

It's in the engines that they've proven to have the right formula in producing power

i have raced an newer model svt cobras and i beat it, actually, every single stang i raced, i have beat every single mustang in my grandmas sti, nothing stands in its way

As with any car, in order for it to be fast, it needs to have a good driver.  I do guarantee you, however, that if you raced a good driver in an 03/04 Cobra, you'd lose easy. 

As for the other Mustangs, like someone else put it, it's comparing apples to oranges.  You have a car pushing close to 300hp with AWD and a power-adder.  I would hope that you'd be able to beat stock GTs and, of course, the v6 models.  Throw a power adder in a GT, however, and you'll see him pull away from you.

You wan't to make things fair?  Race the 2003 or 2004 Cobra...Those things come stock with a power-adder, just like your grandma's car.  Please do post the story when you do.

You don't get sterotyped for no reason Stang.  It is a well known fact that imports are built better in every way than American cars, right down to the quality of steel used.  I looked at Windstars when I was shopping for a van, and it is easily the worst minivan made.  Now I have not much experience with muscle cars, but if I had to chose between an old mustang or an old camaro or Corvette, I'd go with the camaro or vette all day in the American class anyway.

Last I checked, the Corvette wasn't a competition point between Chevy and Ford.  Can't really compare the 2.

They may be built "better" (so you say), but they are a pain in the ass to fix.  From expensive parts to those engines where everything feeds into everything else and you need to take apart everything just to replace a single part.  I'll take any domestic car over imports for that reason...I like to see my engine, manifolds and all...I don't wanna see a cheap plastic cover taking up 90% of the engine space.

Hey my uncles ranger motor just died, imagine that his motor with 40k miles on it.  You know what the dumbass did to fix it, he bought another ford he is defintely cut.

My uncle died in a mustang, so I hope to never own one myself... but ya know, I'm a bit partial to the STI or an eclipse.


....Of course one day SB is going to buy me a Viper... he just doesn't know it yet.
