Go with the Hanns G.  It has a much better response time which is pretty important with new games.  This will keep from your monitor ghosting when playing in intense graphics.

I am not a fan of Hanns-G so I say go with the ASUS monitor.

I <3 my HaansG.
I've had it for over 1.5 years and have had no issues with it.
They are relatively cheap, and are great quality. I'm not sure how they can sell such great monitors at such low prices, but whatever they do works.

(Not that that one is more expensive than the ASUS cause it's slightly bigger. :P)

Well guys I got the Hanns-G one.  It was slightly larger with a better response time.

On the contrast ratio...I don't think you can compare them between different companies because they all make their own monitors/tvs and all the companies have different ways of rating them.  I've heard that from somewhere, not sure if it's 100% fact or not.

Right from the specs page: ASCR 20000:1

The Dynamic Contrast ratio is what Hanspree is using in their description on Newegg, and the ASUS has a better dynamic contract. PS: dynamic contrast is awesome except for gaming and movies. You will end up disabling it, guaranteed.

I'd go with the ASUS, or better yet, get the ASUS VW246H.

Also 2ms and 5ms response times are Grey to Grey ratings, and basically both are worthless. Either will be fine for gaming, they're both Twisted Nematic panels, and response time is its only advantage over other LCD types.
