hey, i hope this is the right spot for this. well, here's the full story. i get home, i get on cs, i go to elders. i change my name to shirt sleeve, then run up get pwned by a shotgun in one shot. open up console "name g | Rambo". i said nothing, nor did i own anyone in this period. lol im banned. is that like confused for name change hacking? or something..?

First, next time please post in the banned forum.  but anyway, how many times did u change ur name?  because if u did it once it might not be the name change hacking(which is an auto ban).  but try in 30 min, cause thats how long the name change hacking ban would be.  if its longer than 30 min than come back and tell us.  also if someone did it they will step up.   so try after 30 min.  see ya.

Yes there is a name change hack on the serve. If you change your name too fast you will get banned for 30 minutes Sorry if I was here I would have unbanned you right away. Just be aware it is there.

yea sorry about the post, and yea im unbanned. i dont know how i was name change hacking, because ive changed my name a lot more on servers with the same option.. but hm. i joined, changed it, died, changed it and exceeded rate. oh well, im unbanned time to get a win, see ya

i never understood the whole name change hacking thing. I know there is a story to it, i'm just way too lazy to ask. but yea, stuff like this happens to me all the time, except everytime I try, I get "name change rate exceeded" thrown at me like 4 million times. it always makes me mad and I never understood it.

so yea, can someone plz tell me what name change hacking is?

Certain hacks out there change your name automatically so it is harder to get kicked or banned from a server they are hacking on. So our server monitors every time you change your name and if you change it to many times in the course of a round you will get banned.
