Elimination & Turbo Mode Poll

Hey guys,

Myself, crazy, hitman, and Thalan played around on the GG server tonight and tried out a few different modes. We still need to decide on a combination.

Here are my personal feelings:

I really think we should go with Elimination AND turbo mode. First off, almost all of the high traffic GG servers that I've played on elsewhere have had both of these modes enabled. It seems to be close between deathmatch and elimination but elimination servers are usually more full.

With most of our old player base gone, it would behoove us to run on a mode that seems to be popular at the moment with the GG crowd.

But beyond that, I really love the combination. It keeps the game fast paced. You don't spend 20-30 minutes on a map. Instead, most maps finish in 10-15 minutes. I love gun game because of the oppourtunity to use all of the weapons and because it usually is more fast paced than regular CS. Elimination mode is a sort of comprimise between standard play and deathmatch. It allows for fluid gameplay and you're never really sure where people always are without the complete chaos of deathmatch. There's still some structure and order.

Turbo mode allows you to progress quickly enough through the levels. I know a big concern is that there are those who love to knife and they fear that turbo mode and elimination will create an environment where this doesn't happen. But all the other servers that I've played on with these modes enabled there is still PLENTY of knifing. Elimination mode allows players to sprawl across the map creating ample oppourtunity. Beyond that, most of the custom maps are either small or complex enough to make it easy for those who want to knife.

TLDR: I love Elimination & turbo mode
