The other night I noticed that every time I tried to record a demo I would get an auto disconnect and it would count down then I would get kicked. Kind of like when you lose connection to the internet or you ping out in the old days.

Is this a server setting so people cant record demos?...or a glitch with the new release? I also noticed after that everyone would be gone soon after so just wondering. I went to a different server and it let me record the demos. I record demos to make frag videos plus it helps me see what I could do bettter in a situation next time. Helped me a lot to play the demo man class.

A couple of times this happened to me Monday and Tuesday nights.  Not sure why, but server reloaded and everything worked fine afterwards.  I didn't try to record a demo tho.

There is no setting on the server to stop demos.

Demos are all client side.  Most likely reboot your computer and you should be fine.
