A couple guys have nagged me in the past about getting in vent and I haven't mainly because I've never used it and I'm just a lazy bum. So I finally got around to downloading it.

Is vent just a free-for-all chat room and is it possible to be muted while I'm playing a round? Or does it stay on all the time? Reason is when everyone's chatting and what not, it gets kind of distracting for me. Heck even people joking around over CS mic during the round gets distracting for me (while it does make things more lively which I like).

try to find the right balance of in-volume and game volume so it's not too disturbing. Some of us drunk people
tend to get loud. Also STFU doesn't go over well with everyone.
