Vista is a fair choice, it's been pretty good to everyone i know who has it, if you feel the need, dual boot vista and XP or Linux. And 600 watt PSU(Power Supply Unit if you didn't know what it was) is fine, 700 to keep yourself 100% safe, and if ya wanna go an extra dollar or two, get 2 7950's. If you wanna go for the 8800, get a GTX or GTS, otherwise it's not really too useful.Cheapest yet, tone down the settings and tweak em to suit you, it's what i used to do on an Integrated(Built in) ATI Radeon 200seriesXPRESS.
