Did you get a psu? Also might want to add another 2 gigs of ram. I have a similar system same cpu and os, sitting idle vista is using close to a gig of ram. I went to 4gigs (even though vista 32 only sees 3.5) and it runs like a champ. That mobo is kick ass! Thats why I buy all my vid cards from evga. Life time warranty!

I didn't get a psu cause that case comes with a 450 watt. The card I bought says min of 350 watt so I figured I would be ok. Maybe not, I will run it and wait till i find a good deal on like a 600 or so. as for ram, I was going to go to 4 gig, but I ran outa money. You know how that is. Sometime in the near future I'll pick up two more sticks of the same and bring my total to 4gig which should be fine.
thx for the input. I'll probably just run vista cause I really like it. Even if i lose a few fps, i do not think it will be bad enough to make it unplayable. I get paid on friday, and I may pick up that extra ram then. Now just to wait for multi core cpu support.
wonder.

nice wonder! that cpu will be really nice and that vid card pretty wicked.
well after reading mrl33ts post about ram, i took his advice and just picked up another 2 gig. I just put it on the american express and will pay it off friday. paid for rush processing so that it should ship monday along with everything else. that way its all here and I can have it set to its full 4 gig when i get it all set up.

Hey Wonder, just so you would know, the new stuff Intel has put out Q6600 quad, is only just a few fps shy of the 6700 Extremes benchmarks. Save some dough and get the Q6600. Also beware the soundcard. I have the very same one and cant use it in my new rig because creative has shit for vista drivers. Their forum is loaded with issues concerning this subject. I wouldnt buy till I saw it works with vista on the box.
Have you actually had a Razer Copperhead in your hand? I thought the quality of the mouse was low. It just reaked of cheapness even though it is somewhat expensive. I was in Circuit City yesterday and tried all of the Razer and logitech mice out. The Razers all looked pretty much the same and felt the same, but their over all quality was at the bottom as they felt cheap and toy like. I liked the Logitech MX 510 and it's newer version the 518. But the one I chose was neither Razer or Logitech. I got the Creative Fatality lazer mouse. (I know I just bashed their vista sound card support) This one was imo the best mouse. It feels like a weapon and fits my hand perfect. I'm still getting used to all the options, but so far it's a hit. The quality was really what impressed me off the bat and I would suggest this mouse to all.

Looks good rage. Only thing I would have done different was the memory. I am going with this.

yup, i checked it out and its listed under sli 1066mhz memory at the top. I made sure so I should be good to go. Sure hope so. Did that vista expirience rating thing and got a 5.0 rating. My ram was hold me back cause everything else was 5.7 and up. Once its here, i think it will go up a little more. I ran that video stress test at 1600x1050(my max res) in source with everything up to max and got an average of 212fps. Not to shabby
