whatever guys. all you have to do is ping your router, wired or not and that is the increase in overhead. mine adds 2 ms.
now if you router drops packets like mad, that is another issue. it can be resolved. just remember that radiowaves can travel faster than electrons in copper in theory. Don't let the bias of when wireless first came out getcha.
That's pretty much exactly correct. Unless your wireless router is dropping your connection or missing packets because of poor connectivity, its every bit as fast for gaming.
The only time you might notice slow down is when transfering large files (or large volumes of files,) because wireless can range anywhere from 11mbps to 54mbps (B to G,) while in theory ethernet can hit 100mbps or 1000mbps.
