Title: script monkeys
Post by: TE | Hypo on May 01, 2008, 10:57:52 AM
in 1.6 CS I had a few scripts to speed up reloads, bind keys etc.  when CSS came out and I reloaded all my games (and of course steam) I didn't bring any of that back with me... but I was noticing more and more people are using scripts in the CSS and in the CSSGG servers...

anyone here still use scripts?  do they actually function like they used to back in 1.6?

You can find scripts to do almost anything in CS:S, and consequently TF2, but I don't usually use them because I don't know which ones are legal for CAL. Besides, it's more fun to pwn with your own skills than scripted skills.

Scripts are not hacks. Just makes for an easy way to do certain things. Like buy your weapons. I have had a buy script since the beginning of time. Who the fuck wants to sit there and press 6-4-1, 8-5-1, 8-5-2 and all that other shit. I press F8 and I get an M4 or AK, ammo(well not needed anymore), HE, flash, armor, kit. If I survive the round I just hit F11 and I resupply myself.

Got other scripts also. like setting your rates and a bunch for running admin commands.

I just use the save slots on the buy menu to store stuff I need...although, something to help me throw a grenade and switch back to my weapon at the push of a button might be nice  :-D

Easy one this is if you have fastswitch off

Code: [Select]
alias +fnade "slot4; wait3; +attack; wait3; -attack; wait3; slot1; +attack"
alias -fnade "-attack"

bind key +fnade

Why do you have to have fastswitch off? and what would I change for flash and smoke?

cause fast switch doesn't require you to click the fire button to select something in your inventory. Sorry but I mad a mistake. the script above is if fastswitch is on.

I forget the commands to use each weapon but I think this would work

fastswitchon
Code: [Select]
alias unade "use weapon_hegrenade"
alias usmoke "use weapon_smokegrenade"
alias uflash "use weapon_flashbang"

alias +fnade "unade; wait3; +attack; wait3; -attack; wait3; slot1;"
alias -fnade "-attack"

alias +fsmoke "usmoke; wait3; +attack; wait3; -attack; wait3; slot1;"
alias -fsmoke "-attack"

alias +fflash "uflash; wait3; +attack; wait3; -attack; wait3; slot1;"
alias -fflash "-attack"

bind key +fnade
bind key +fsmoke
bind key +fflash

Id advise you guys not to use scripts, ive known 2 people who had nothing else only scripts and they were VAC banned, ive heard rumours of VAC clamping down on all customibilty in counter strike and other VAC games, they are now banning for skins, scripts etc... but thats just what im hearing i dont know if its true, i just dont want to take the risk for the sake of me buying guns faster  :cool1:
