Title: What games are you looking forward to this fall?
Post by: crazydog on August 18, 2009, 11:29:20 PM: The fall gaming season is coming, and lots of new good games are coming out...which ones are you looking foward to?

I'm waiting for Modern Warfare 2, Mass Effect 2, Batman: Arkhym Asylum, Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin's Creed 2 and I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now other people will mention.

Lots of "2" games coming out. This reminds me of a little while ago when there were tons of "2" movies were coming out at the same time.

That's why I'm waiting for the price to come down...hopefully it'll be a better game at $20 than it is at $50.

My friend bought the one with night vision goggles lol!
Can you imagine a drunk person stripped down to their underwear walking with night vision goggles on? I can.

The open-world gameplay was great, but the game mechanics got a little bland. The writing, which was always the highlight of the Fallout/Baldur's Gate/Planescape games back in the day, was pretty "meh" too. Still, a worthwhile purchase, just not worth the initial 60 bucks. If you get it, get it for the PC so you can mod the hell out of it via www.fallout3nexus.com.

Just bought Need for speed : Shift yesterday and played til 3am. Freakin awsome. I enjoyed Gran Turismo 1+2 but after that the
3+4 became too technical and too many settings required to enjoy the game as much. Shift to me feels like a great balance of
reality and arcade. To me it's the best racing game ever, well at least up til now.

Post by: Mustard on September 23, 2009, 11:39:48 PM: I just realized that L4D2 and Modern Warfare 2 are coming out within a week of each other, my brain may explode, and I may get dumped and fail all my classes.

I kinda dislike the fall gaming season, there's just too much coming out usually. Though, I rarely buy single player games when they first come out. Last one I did was Fallout 3. Generally a single player game can wait a few months or for a price drop. Multiplayer on the other hand I generally need on day 1, lest I get totally left behind. It's a bitch learning a multiplayer game after it's been out in the world for a few months.
