Any help would be great, thanks.

Friends don't let friends buy ATI...most of us have Nvidia cards but I know a few of our outcast members have ATI so maybe they can help :D

You mean drivers?
You can get them here:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

I think MDK is the only with ATI. He doesn't frequent the forums either. Sorry.

You mentioned to me you got some error on that site.
What exactly was that error? Also, what operating system do you have?

Actually I think with the price of the 4870 coming down they may have the best price/performance for a card right now. I wouldn't rule out buying one in the sub $200 dollar range smurf!

Well, I just bought my 9800GT w/1GB RAM for $179 so bang for buck wise...but I'm an Nvidia guy so... :-D

u can get the 4870 and it will kill the 9800...which is barely better than the 8800

Actually, I had an 8800GT superclocked and get about 30fps AVERAGE more in CoH and a lot more consistent framerates in other games like TF2 and L4D...probably depends on your setup and the RAM really helps though. Also, and the 9800 has an updated shader model. All good cards, can't go wrong either way, I'm just an Nvidia fanboy I guess LOL Regardless, the human eye can't really distinguish anything more than 60fps anyway, so any way you go your golden.

Yea...either way the 8800gt will play just about everything you need to. That's why I'll keep using it until it's necessary to upgrade. **Is an Nvidia fan** I just like to give amd/ati props when necessary.

Hey, a lot of people still use and are happy with their ATI cards so they must be good

The 4890 is out now too, and will normally run ya about $300.

Some people still think the world is flat too...
