"ccording to firm, the card is powerful enough to drive most demanding applications, including most intense 3D games, even those with artificial intelligence, physics operations and tessellation."

The thing is that Nvidia has had a card with 4GB of memory on it for awhile now.

Prince of Persia you say? I loved "The Two Thrones" on PS2, one of the best games I've played...can't wait for this to come out for PS3. Nice find! :headbang1:

Can't imagine much use for 2GB on a single 4850 unless you are playing at ridiculously high resolutions...at that point not sure if 4850 would be the right card anyway...
-
the problem still is the memory speed. that card still uses DDR3. the 4870 uses DDR5. DDR5 is way faster. may have 2 gigs of memory but in the eyes of graphics rendering, it still slow at saving and receiving the data.

I wish I could keep track (read: afford to buy new vid cards to keep up)... I need to replace my dual 7650's I think.

Ny GTX280 is shipping in the next 2 days so when I receive it I will let you know what it is like.
