smurf I have to completlely disagree with you!!!
soccer "footbal"(how we call it) since they actually use their feet all the time to play it, is the best sport on earth!!!
I do like american footbal too though, but soccer is quicker, more dynamic, no stop of the clock, no advertisement until half time,etc.
I think this is the year Spain is going to win the eurocup, we have the best team and we are playing nicely so far.
I agree netherlands have a pretty good team as well as germany which just beat portugal 3-2, it was an awesome game.
I cant wait to watch the netherlands-russia quarterfinal, since if we beat italy (which its gonna be tough), we will play them on the semifinals.
I think the final is gonna be germany-spain and we will win 3-2.

I picked I don't care, just because I'm not really interested, not trying to jab at the sport. Sorry spaniard but hockey is the quickest sport. Them soccer/futbol guys have some pretty sweet skill with the ball but the only exciting part to me is the ten minutes of the game when the ball is within the 18 and they are all pushing it hard to score. Hockey, anywhere on the ice someone can get turned inside out, either by a big hit or a sweet move

dude i respect ur opinion but if you know about soccer or u have played u will realized how hard it is and how much fun is to do driblings, short and long passes, and so forth. then u appreciate how good they are.
thanks tritt for cheering for spain!!!ur right we have some sick ass players, such as the strikers david villa(highest scorer of the eurocup so far) and fernando torres, best mildfielders in the world like cesc fabregas, xavi, silva, iniesta, and senna among others, and great defendors, and the best goal keeper in the world, iker casillas form real madrid.

Soccer is one of those sports you either got to be there or playing. Watching it on TV does nothing for me. It's like watching flies fuck!! Not exciting to me. Believe me I know how hard it is and the skill involved to play. I am not disrespecting that at all. Just to watch it is boring to me.

WIDOW, i agree that it might ne boring to you, but if you wouldve watch the game today against turkey and c oratia, u can call this sport everything but boring, it was one of the most exiting game sever.
I respect your opinion, but it can be boring to you, however, you cannot say it is more boring than baseball, and i like baseball, but it is so slow, and sometimes you will be watching it for hourse and see nothing interesting, and is one of the most famous american sports.
how we say in spain.......para gustos los colores, and it means that many people have many different likes. different people like different colours.

Yesterday's game was awesome! Turkey is just sick - have come back from behind 3 times now in this tournament :headbang1: Talk about conviction...only if France had half the heart Turkey does, they wouldn't have been disgraced here...

wed 2:45 ET germany-turkey(i preffer turkey to pass, but im afraid germany will)
thursday 2:45 ET spain-russia(spain should win that after the 4-1 score from a week ago)
This is our year to finally win eurocup after 19649last year spain won.
and we broke the jinx of 80 years without beating italy in a major compatetition.
we have a good chance and a good team to make it work

I agree, things are looking good for Spain now - good luck! I was amazed that score was 0-0 after overtime with Italy, although always nice to beat them in PKs...I still remember when Roberto Baggio missed his penalty in the WC.
Both teams I like (Holland and France) are out so I will now root for Russia for no reason other than the fact that they are underdogs (with a better chance than Turkey)...
Turkey has no chance vs. Germany especially since something like 9 of their starting 11 are out due to injury or fouls. Spain vs. Russia should be a fun attacking game :-D

u were right dude, it was a nice attacking game, but only on one side.
it was a beautifull show of soccer from spain, they played perfect, nice, and effective with like 20 shots 10 on target, russia only shot one on target, and casillas was there to save it.
now for the championship Spain-Germany on sunday 2:45 ET
that should be fun

I have to agree with Widow. I played soccer for 7 years and you'll never find me watching it on tv. Im either playing it or watching just about any other sport on tv... baseball is almost as bad as watchin soccer on tv tho too.

dude baseball is way slower and more boring than watching soccer, its hard to believe that you play soccer for several years and u dont like watching big games.
I dont like watching every single soccer game, the same way that i dont like watching every single baseball game, but i do watch my team's games and the world series and stuff like that, with soccer is the same way, i love watching my favorite team's games, and any other important interesting game.
Spain's gotta win this final on sunday.that would make my summer so much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe Italy lost. That sucked. I was watching it in Tuscany, and everyone was depressed the next day. I think Germany, or Spain has a good shot. And fucking Germany beating Turkey was bullshit. but that last goal was sick. I was hoping for Turkey, but Germany is really good.

we have a big problem our best striker david villa, and highest scorer fo thr tournament so far is injured and will not play, cesc fabregas would play in his place, it sucks but fabregas is good too.

Pd:i cant wait for the game, if spain win i most probably wont be playing cs on sunday night because ill be drunk and celebrating!!!!!!

Yup, spain played really well, but Germany really played like shit. Besides the first couple of min, spain had all the control. But overall, it was a rather good game.

Gratz spaniard, I know how much fun it can be to win a championship after such a drought, enjoy it all you can. I have to admit I actually watched a portion of the game and it was interesting. The 15min of a game that are spent below the 18 on either end is exciting

the real story out of this was the fact that the coach that Russia has is amazing. Every team he coaches makes it into the finals - like in the same year. That is truly amazing.
If only he'd come manage the NY Mets....

dude we were always in prior years a very good team with big chances...blah blah blah, but we never used to get past the quaterfinals, so this time we actually pull it off.
this time,i am very proud of my soccer team and very happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, the Euro cup; now Nadal winning Wimbeldon & the French Open - this is a good year for Espana! I do hope he destroys Federer in the US Open as well although that may be wishful thinking...

eaurocup2008, puls Sergio Garcia winning the TPC sawgrass PGA tournament, Contador form spain wont the giro of italy(cycling), Nadal wins indian wells(miami), the french open and wimblendom, and queens too, and the only thing was Pau Gasol and the lakers didnt win the NBA ring ,but they made it to the final, in addition to Daniel Pedorsa, Jorge Lorenzo, among others with very good results and positions in all the categories of motorcycling world championship. we just won the basketball world cup last year against argentina, and some other stuff!!!

thanks luggage for your words, but i think it is gonna be really hard for nadal to beat fereder or even make past the first rounds in the US open, cause it is too quick of a course for him.well see!!!he ha simproved a lot as a player during the last year.
