Title: Xfire > Steam
Post by: AntiHero on December 19, 2007, 10:50:22 AM
Who has Xfire? I have it and I love it, it's 10x better than Steam. AND it works in every game almost, cept the VERY unpopular ones, or very very new ones.

I've got it , but I don't use it much so I don't remember my name off hand.  MDK has it as well.

At least Xfire doesn't go on a bitchfit and tell you all your games aren't paid for but just pre-loaded.
Also, at least Xfire doesn't tab you out of Battlefield 2 or World of Warcraft or something.

I've used Xfire on and off about 3 times total in my gaming career.

It has some nice features, like the abillity to quicky share screenshots, but overall it's too bulky for me. I never really used most of it's features.

I really only got it for the in-game chat, which Steam has now, so the only other reason is to chat in-game with non-steam friends, but I doubt many of my old xfire friends still use it.

I guess the main reason I like steam better than xfire is that Steam is the same system running my games, so I know that the Steam Community will work better with more of my games than xfire will.

Xfire is better than steam friends if you play multiple games.  If you are playing other multiplayer games besides ones offered by steam, xfire is incredibly useful.
