Title: Freezing up during gameplay

This mostly happens during CS.... i dont think its lag, cause my rates dont jump, but there are times when the whole game will ust freeze up for a good 20-25 secs and im left standing there like a dumbass.... any idea whats going on?

get a probe that will check the temp of your hardware. ie vid card, cpu, motherboard. Make sure it is one with like a graph or something so you can see it when you shut the game down. has the symptoms of something getting hot.

Or something (GPU) being underpowered, or a combination of both.

Or dont be cheap and upgrade from that 3 yr old comp

Nvidia 8800GT's just released, better than 8800GTS and cheaper too... get one, or 2.
