I saw Das Boot, ummm it's like way too old to be that.

Ok, I found the info i was looking for. The original film was from the following:

This is a movie nominated for best foreign film in 2005. It was also nominated for Oscars. The english name is called "Downfall." In German the movie is called "Untergang, Der "

I've seen Downfall, it is awesome.  It's Hitler's last week before he killed himself accounted by his former secretary who is still living.  It is a very powerful film and a must watch if you were ever intrested in U.S. history like myself.
