im gettin alotta choke out here. I've tired messin with the rates but i got no clue what works best for my comp and connection...someone help me, its makin it unplayable sometimes and i just got this computer workin a week or 2 ago

Now im not a big computer guru like MDK, but i can tell u to turn on net_graph 3, and watch ur FPS when u get into a firefight (4-6 people on ur screen at once in gungame especially) and w/e the FPS drops to, is what u should set ur rates too

you got that from widow didn't u.  and i don't think that helps the choke that much.

First check your settings, right click on steam, click settings then the internet tab.  Make sure you have the right speed in there.  If you are unsure of your speed you can test it here http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Also are you getting choke in both servers?  I have to change my rates for the gungame because of the small cluttered maps.  My rates for the css pub are 100 and 100, but in the gungame I keep the update rate at 30 and the cmdrate at 20.

on the speedtest site look at the top left corner and you can run a tracert to see how many hops it is taking to get to the server. (from widow lol) Might help you in seeing if there is trouble before getting to the sevrer

my choke always jumps to 40-50 every once in a while. Nothing I can do about it.

I have got a lotta choke too.  If you guys want to venture somewhere unknown try MDK's Useless crap.  There is a lot of useful stuff in there about rates and all that.  Anyway, sometimes it can be a bottleneck with your internet.  Try messing with the rates.
