Title: Kind of ghetto??
Post by: wonder. on December 07, 2006, 10:35:09 PM
Something was brewing in the Union Square neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses said about 50 teenagers, congregating near a McDonald?s, seemed to be waiting for something to start ? and suddenly it did.

A fight broke out about 3:30 p.m., and members of two groups attacked one another with things like sticks, knives, belts and a cane. The brawl spilled into the park, forcing vendors and their customers at the farmer?s market to duck behind tables and trucks, witnesses said.

One of the teenagers, Taishawn Bellevue, 17, a student at Science Skills High School in Brooklyn, was stabbed in the chest, and he died that night at St. Vincent?s Hospital Manhattan, the police said. Two other 17-year-olds were also injured.

No arrests had been made as of last night.

-->  this happened two blocks away from my school.  I missed this by about 20 min.  for all of you who thought the city isn't that bad, think again.  but these were all ghetto kids and what not.
