Title: May not be moving to Texas for a while!

Ok guys here is the deal. I got offered a job in the government as a civilian up here. It is really hard to get your foot in the door but when you do all you can do is go up. It is a great opportunity for me and Blitz has agreed to stay up here in this hell hole for another 2 years and get his associates up here. The job (if i get it) starts out as a GS-5. For those who don't know the pay scale goes from a GS-1 to a GS-16. Well I would be making around 32K a year. It is a step down from what I am making right now but like I said all you can do it go up. GS-14 thru GS-16 is something close to 6 figures so I can retire from this at 39 if I wanted to but more than likely I would put in that extra 10 years and get a bigger retirement. If that job fails thru a CPT i know said she would get me a job if I wanted it. After here I would go to San Angelo, TX and probably work on an Air Force base!

i come from brooklyn and i guess i can say i know "thug".  sry but ive never heard that term, and all im saying is that it sounds redneck. lol.  maybe its just that southern lingo that im not used to ???

im not saying your a redneck.  i just never heard the term up here, so it seems to me its rather southern, and in the south there r quite a few rednecks.  lol.  :)

I don't think I caught what the job was...

It sucks that you still have to stay at Fort Drum...I was there once and it sucked.
