Title: Steam Purchases

Just wondering if anybody has had any issues with using their credit card to purchase things over steam. I bought and pre-loaded HL2:Episode One on May 27th 2006. I do not use my credit/debit card for anything online because its linked right into my checking account. Well on May 27th, some idiot in the United Kingdom got his/her hands on my card. They ordered some shit from www.strawberrynet.com. I woke up yesturday to find some money missing from my account. I keep my PC as clean as I can. Windows updates are downloaded right away. I run Spybot S&D, adaware, hijack this, and ccleaner everyday to clean my stuff out. I even have windows firewall running. I'm just speculating but the only way I can see they got the number was from steam. Got me thinking about future purchases.

Also, I'm running Windows Pro x64; Service Pack 1.

hmm...my mom just had the same thing happen...same website.....i wonder if shes used her credit card for steam for my little brother.....i'll ask tomorrow

The same thing happened to me with PayPal.

It was the only time in my life I was elated to have nothing in my account. They tried to spend a few thousand at at time and withdrawl from ATMs... but I had no money to take. LOL
