Title: Red Orchestra
Post by: RedBaron on March 14, 2006, 06:37:42 PM
Well i had preordered it and it came out today,  it's uh really unreal/quake ish in the menu's, but when you get into the game it's total hl2,  It showcases the hl2 engine so much more than dod/cs/hl2 the game.  It's crazy, good graphics and if your like me, I got a athlon2200, 512 ram, 128mgfx5200, you can still play it without lag (on  lower settings) but it still looks really amazing.  The game play is really good, it's not just a lot of running and gunning because the maps are huge so you might walk for 2 or 3 minutes before seeing someone to shoot,  It is the most team based game I've ever played,  There is soo many classes and each one is vital for a team, therefor you get a lot of squads walking around.  Something different is that you dont have a cross hair, so pretty much you always iron site when u are shooting.  I really like it and think it's totally worth the $$.  For those of you debating buying it, my advice is go for it.

it doesn't use the source engine. It uses Unreal.

Hmm your correct, i just assumed it was hl2 being it was on steam, but the game is awesome, it's like bf1942 only it's not just about the vehicles, you can actually shoot people too (bf was brutual for trying to use guns) well it's still focuses mainly on fps, not vehicle wars.
