my mother-in-law makes the best damn pies and cakes on the planet.  you'd believe me if you ever had the oppurtunity to try them.  man are they good. 

Thanksgiving she made butternut squash pie (instead of pumpkin, very similar but better imho), and apple cranberry with strussel topping pie, and a carrot cake with homemade cream cheese icing.  Her crusts are to die for.
