So im thinking about going and buying ps2 today? Does anyone know the list price for it?

I wanted to get it for the game Final Fantasy XI, but do I have to pay an online service fee? And some other anime games are supposedly on it like Naruto, so I figured I would buy it. If its a piece of shit waste of time, please tell me I dont want to waste my money.

PS2=$149 USF or $89.99 used.
May not be worth it at this time as theres a rumor in SOny circles of the system dropping to $99 or even $79 when the XBox 360 hits streets. Another thing to take into factor is that FFXI is $100 PLUS the monthly fee. Its a great system but if you havent already got one, theres really no point to do so now.

i agree.  you can get ff XI for the pc now too, and still play on the same servers as you ps2 friends.  google that though, as I'm not positive.

PS3 is on the horizon too... why spend 100 bucks when you can already save for a superior gaming machine?

I told you also on IRC that FF XI is not worth it, the game is GTA: San Andreas, way to much to actually do it gets boring.


BTW, I will sell you my PS2 still if you want it.  I have old games too  :-D
I might be down to NJ in 2-3 weeks

Just name me a price... Im getting xbox 360 anyways... i dont have the money to drop on an xbox 360 and a ps2.

Word. I'm not even going to buy 360. Playstation will have better games and graphics anyway.

just get the ps3 it owns the 360. 2x better graphics, blue tooth tech. and plush its by sony, not pos consol microsoft
