I have not yet figured out the reasoning behind the no costumes, but I assure you, I will be on the phone tomorrow morning at 7:30 am finding out!  Just last year, my daughter was aloud to bring her costume to school and put it on over her clothes.  They had a parade in the individual grade hall ways to show off all the costumes.  I did the same thing as a kid.  Now, just one year later, they are not aloud to bring costumes to school!  I am 30 yrs old, and I still dress up every year with my kids.  I have a really cute witch costume (no wise cracks please) complete with hat, green makeup for my face, and the fancy little bat thigh high hoes to go with it.  I go to school dressed up to help with the party.  I guess I am not aloud to dress up either!  This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of!  I will get back with you all on what I find out tomorrow though, definitely!
