I buy them right (used). A typical shop will mark up 125% or more over the actual cost, thats why I almost never buy new unless it's internet. I gave around $780 for the BC Rich via internet order, in a shop it would of been $1500 (asking price). Most will reduce their prices 25% but still are making 100% profit. Only big stores like Guitar Center will price match internet pricing, and mom and pop shops wont because they don't sell 10 guitars, a pa system and 2 sets of drums each day. The Gibsons are used pieces even though the green one was still in the cardboard packing box, unopened. So I got it for less than half price ($2,200) because it was previously sold. The other two SG's..I got them for $400 each. The red one I had to put around $150 in new hardware + case into it so the end result was $550..Both would of sold new for $1k+

Nice car, but I wouldnt pay 5 grand for a Fender if Jesus and Hendrix owned it...I do have a few, just not high price stuff. Gibsons are my faves.

2 emgs (81/85) humbuckers (instead of the seymoure duncans) and fixed-bridge, i figured i would have trouble tuning with the floyd rose tremolo..

i loved my sg styled epiphone (les paul custom), but this jackson sounds and plays sick (24 frets make me moist, even if i dont use them much) and the action is perfect for my "style".. still miss the light mahogany body, though..  and who DOESNT love the sg body style..

I've been looking for a neck through Iceman for a while now. I am also into Ibanez Destroyers.
