Hey Wonder, how's that Dell 2407 working out? I've read there are severe ghosting issues with that model, you'll often see dark ghosting trails behind lighter objects. There are some vids on Youtube demonstrating this. There's also a big thread on the Dell forums. Long story short, Dell figured out what was causing it and basically said they're not going to fix it. They were offering refunds for a while late last year.

There's a 2408 model coming out soon from Dell, people are wondering if it still has the ghosting issue. I've been in the market for a 24" wide screen but the better ones don't seem to be budging from that ~$650 price point.
wonder.

Get a HP 24. They have good response times, have a small footprint and aren't that expensive.

wow i just built out an sli system witht 2gb ram, dual 2.6 proc, 2x250gb seagate 7200 rpm sata, etc. and am getting 60-80fps playing tf2 with single evga 7600gt ddr3.

cost for whole rig? a whopping $508. i went $8 over budget.

i love these super gaming boxes, though. Just wanted to get it out there that you dont NEED to spend a lot of money. and as far as longevity, as long as needs are static the pc will last for 5 years easy.

there are apple 2's hosting web sites, remember....
